Senior Structural Engineer

We currently require a full time permanent Senior Structural Engineer.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years design experience in the UK and will have worked on projects in a diverse range of sectors, including residential. They will be able to manage small to medium scale projects autonomously to completion, demonstrating pragmatic design using all traditional building materials and providing direction to support staff in the production of high quality design drawings.

 Experience/Skills 

• A relevant qualification in Engineering
• IStructE or ICE membership advantageous, but not essential
• Must be a confident designer who is able to work autonomously
• Minimum 5 years relevant structural design experience in the UK
• The confidence to manage projects, and a small team
• Must have an excellent understanding of a range of building structures
• Good client liaison and business development skills
• Experience using Tekla Structral Designer, Tekla TEDDS, CADS Analyse 3DMax advantageous

Other Details

We are an established, friendly and forward thinking consultancy demonstrating rapid business growth; we currently have a mix of 70% residential projects, and 30% as ‘other’ (often light industrial and educational sectors).

This is a great opportunity for a driven Senior Structural Engineer to gain exposure to a range of fantastic structural projects. Salary will be a competitive package, commensurate with experience. Benefits include company pension, private healthcare and generous business mileage rate also provided.
